THE WOODWARD THEATER

THE HISTORIC WOODWARD THEATER opened in 1913 as a silent film house. The curve of today’s stage imitates the original orchestra pit that still lies beneath. Over its diverse 100+ year history The Woodward has served Over-the-Rhine as Greg’s Antiques, Kroger’s Grocery Store, even Andy Schain’s used car dealership! In 2013 it returned to its origins as an authentic, accessible event space driven to support community, entertainment, and music. With a significant investment, the renovated Woodward is now a modern event facility with a strong respect for the theater’s past and neighborhood. Devoted, hands-on, independent and entrepreneurial, The Woodward Staff embraces the heart and history of Main Street OTR.

The Woodward Theater is a versatile and unique venue that will bring your vision to life. Over-the-Rhine is on the National Register of Historic Places. Amid a modern-day renaissance, this rich history and architecture provide a unique and authentic atmosphere perfect for an intimate and memorable event.
